Drilled pier foundation installation involves stabilizing soil, while excavating the material inside the casing to a designed depth. Rebar or supportive material is placed into the excavation and concrete is installed with pier foundation drilling. Drilled piers may have an above grade finished appearance, or tie into a grade beam. The result is foundation piers that provide structural support for buildings, bridges, towers, retention, and utilities. There is a variety of equipment used to install drilled piers, which is based on application, existing site conditions, and project requirements.
