Atlas Foundation partners with owners, engineers, and contractors early in the design process to deliver deep foundation, earth retention, and excavation systems that reduce installation time and de-risk complex industrial projects.

CERTIFICATION & PARTNERS

Most foundation contractors are brought in after the design is complete.
Atlas Foundation is engaged earlier—working alongside the Engineer of Record to evaluate site conditions, loading requirements, and constructability—so foundation systems are optimized before construction begins.
The result: faster installations, fewer redesigns, and foundations engineered for long-term performance under extreme loads.
Real Project Impact
On a heavy industrial project requiring load capacities beyond traditional footing limits, Atlas Foundation was engaged during pre-construction.
By collaborating directly with the Engineer of Record, we recommended and installed a deep foundation system that:
-
Met all structural and geotechnical requirements
-
Reduced installation scope complexity
-
Shortened foundation installation time by 25%
Early engineering alignment turned a potential schedule risk into a controlled, efficient execution.
CORE SERVICES
Drilled Piers / Caissons, Micro Pile, Piling, Earth Retention,
Helical Anchors, Ground Improvement, and more
Our engineering-led process ensures foundation and retention systems tailored to site conditions that directly reduce installation risk and cycle time.

Piling Solutions
Pipe-Pile, H-Pile, Sheet-Pile, and Cast-In-Place
The driven Pipe-Pile (Cast-In-Place Pile) and H-pile will help transfer the buildings bearing loads further down into a solid layer below the surface, providing a reliable and stable foundation. They may also use those as the supporting structure of retaining walls. Sheet-Pile’s primary use is for temporary and permanent
retaining walls.

Micropile
Grouted Anchors, and Tiebacks
Micropile is used to stabilize buildings, bridges, or highways and is often installed in very dense subsurface conditions, such as bedrock. Installation of grouted anchors involves a complex process of drilling into soil and or rock, inserting a steel bar, and filling the void with grout. Micropiles are often paired with tiebacks to help provide better lateral support to retaining walls and existing structures.

Drilled Piers / Caissons
Highest Load Capacity Deep Foundation Solution
Drilled Piers, also referred to as Caissons or bored piles, are a deep foundation system formed by drilling out a shaft that is back-filled with concrete and reinforced with rebar, and often steel casing. Caissons may reach diameters of up to 14 feet for structural support of large buildings, stadiums, bridges, towers, retention systems, and utilities.

Helical Piers / Helical Anchors
An Economic Deep Foundation Alternative For Certain Projects
Benefits
-
Helical Piers have a low impact on the environment, making them an excellent choice in wetlands or lakes for boardwalks, pedestrian bridges, and docks.
-
Helical anchors paired with underpinning brackets may repair existing foundations with settlement damage.

Earth Retention / Retaining Walls
Soil Retention Solutions
Engineered earth retention systems that meet high-capacity load and safety requirements for complex excavation projects.

Ground Improvement
Vibrated Stone Columns, Rock Columns, Auger-cast, and Rigid Inclusions
Ground improvement techniques selected to optimize schedule and structural performance where traditional deep foundations are not required.
About Atlas Foundation Company
Built for Projects Where Failure Is Not an Option
Atlas Foundation Company is a veteran-owned specialty contractor providing engineered deep foundation, earth retention, intermediate foundation, and excavation support systems for heavy industrial and infrastructure projects.
Our work supports facilities and structures that impose loads exceeding native soil capacity—where conventional foundation approaches are insufficient, schedules are unforgiving, and performance is non-negotiable.
Our Philosophy: Engineering First, Execution Always
Many foundation contractors are engaged after the design is complete.
Atlas Foundation takes a different approach.
We collaborate early with owners, engineers, and construction teams to evaluate geotechnical conditions, loading requirements, and constructability constraints before work begins in the field. This early alignment allows foundation systems to be selected and installed with precision—reducing redesigns, compressing schedules, and mitigating risk.
The result is not just a foundation that works, but one that is engineered for efficiency, safety, and long-term performance.
Proven Impact Through Early Engagement
On complex industrial projects, early decisions define success.
By being introduced during pre-construction on a heavy industrial project with extreme load requirements, Atlas Foundation worked directly with the Engineer of Record to recommend a deep foundation system tailored to actual site and loading conditions.
That collaboration reduced installation scope complexity and shortened foundation installation time by 25 percent, without compromising structural performance or safety.
This outcome reflects how Atlas operates: informed decisions early, disciplined execution in the field.
What We Specialize In
Atlas Foundation focuses on projects where foundation performance is mission-critical, including:
-
Deep foundation systems for high axial and lateral loads
-
Earth retention systems for complex or constrained excavations
-
Intermediate foundation and ground improvement solutions selected for constructability and performance
-
Excavation support for heavy industrial and infrastructure environments
Our experience is concentrated in conditions where native soils cannot meet design demands and foundation failure is not an acceptable risk.
Veteran-Owned Leadership and Culture
As a veteran-owned organization, Atlas Foundation brings a culture of accountability, preparation, and execution to every project.
Our team operates with the discipline required to plan thoroughly, communicate clearly, and perform consistently under demanding conditions. Safety, reliability, and responsibility are not values we list—they are expectations we enforce.
Who We Work With
Atlas Foundation partners with:
-
Owners of heavy industrial and infrastructure assets
-
Engineers of Record seeking constructible, performance-driven foundation systems
-
Contractors managing technically complex scopes under tight schedules
If your project demands foundations that go beyond standard solutions, Atlas Foundation is structured to support that level of complexity.
Our Commitment
We do not position ourselves as a low-cost provider or a generalist.
We exist to support projects where engineering judgment, early collaboration, and disciplined execution materially impact schedule, safety, and long-term performance.
Engage Atlas Foundation Early
If your project involves high loads, challenging soils, or limited tolerance for risk, engaging Atlas Foundation during pre-construction can define the success of the foundation scope.
